Dale Almon Brocksieker, Sr.

Dale Almon Brocksieker, Sr., 83, of South Amherst, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, June 30, 2026. He was born November 30, 1942 in Lorain. Dale began working toward a career in the United States Navy, proudly serving from 1960 to 1968. After the heartbreaking loss of his first wife, Nora Linda Brocksieker, and their daughter, Jody Brocksieker, Dale made the difficult decision to step away from the Navy to care for his surviving son, Dale Jr. He embraced the role of a single father and devoted himself wholeheartedly to raising his son. Later, Dale found love again and married Mary Brocksieker, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered around family, friendship, and making memories. Dale treasured bringing people together, whether it was for holiday gatherings, summer bonfires, or time spent with family and friends. He had a special way of making others feel welcome and cared for. Dale worked as a mechanic at Slimans before moving on to Nordson, where he eventually retired. His passion for working with his hands continued long after his career. He had a true talent for working on old cars and was known as the person classic car enthusiasts could turn to when they needed help. If someone needed something fabricated, repaired, or figured out, Dale was the one they called. Dale also enjoyed spending time with his car group, traveling across the country by bus and sometimes by plane, creating memories and friendships along the way. Dale was a devoted father, loving grandfather, caring brother, and a friend to many. He lived his life with a quiet strength, a generous heart, and a willingness to always lend a helping hand. He was the kind of person who believed in getting things done, and whatever he set his mind to, he completed with dedication and pride. Our favorite memory of Dad was his quiet demeanor, though he could certainly make his voice heard when needed. He was hardworking, dependable, and deeply caring. His greatest gift was the love he gave to his family and the many ways he showed up for the people around him. He is survived by his son, Dale A. Brocksieker, Jr. and his wife, Catherine; his grandson, Ty Brocksieker and his wife, Brittany; his granddaughter, Kaylin Brocksieker; his sister, Cheryl Colby; his brother, Paul Brocksieker and his wife, Janet; his nephew, David Brocksieker and his wife, Renee, and their children, Cameron and A.J.; his niece, Lori Brocksieker and her daughter, Jordan Brocksieker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Almon and Lucille Brocksieker; his wife of 50 years, Mary Brocksieker; his first wife, Nora Linda Brocksieker; and his daughter, Jody Brocksieker.
