Today - The Schoepfle Garden, 11106 Market St., Birmingham, will host a teddy bear picnic 1-3 p.m. - As part of the yearlong celebration of America250, The North Ridgeville Historical Society will provide self-guided cemetery tours of the gravesites of 10 Revolutionary Soldiers buried in North Ridgeville cemeteries from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 11 and 12. Nine gravesites are in Ridgeville Center Cemetery at 36330 Center Ridge and Fields Cemetery at 34100 Lorain Road has one gravesite. There is little to no parking available, so visitors are asked to follow directional signs for entrance and exit driveways to ensure easier access. Gravesites will be designated with tall flags and a brochure with further information will be available. Sunday - Live at the Lighthouse concert series will return to Vermilion 6-7:30 p.m. Sundays at Main Street Beach. Mike Moore, playing classic rock, will perform. Attendees are invited to bring their favorite lawn chair, a snack and enjoy music in the sunset on the lake. - Lil Eddy and the Boilermakers, "Akron's big little fun band" will play at Lorain County Metro Parks Vermilion River Reservation 6-7 p.m. The band plays "shades of Mardi Gras, swing, Motown and cool stuff like that." Bands play in the amphitheater and visitors are invited to bring chairs and snacks to enjoy the music. Monday - Amherst Public Library board of trustees will hold a regular meeting at the library at 5:45 p.m. The meeting is open to the public. - The Lorain County Rural Democrats meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Historic Grafton School, 1111 Elm St., Grafton. The first half-hour of the meeting is set aside for socializing and the formal meeting begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday - City Fresh produce pickup 4-6 p.m. every Tuesday through October at the Lorain Main Library and the South Lorain Library Branch. With a weekly payment, participants receive a grab bag of fresh seasonal produce, known as a "share." Shares come in single or family sizes and are offered at tiered prices. Limited income and EBT shares are available. Order for as many or as few weeks as desired. Tickets are $20 at the door. - The Avon Democratic Club and the Avon Lake Democrats will hold simultaneous voter registration drive-thrus from 10 a.m. to noon. The ADC event will be held at the Avon Library, 37485 Harvest Drive, Avon. The ALD event will be at the Avon Lake Library, 32649 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake. - Shred day from 9 a.m. to noon at the South Lorain Library branch and again 9 a.m. to noon July 25 at the Avon Library branch. Each household may bring up to five standard-size copier paper boxes or five grocery-size bags of documents. Staples are fine, but no paper clips, binder clips, binders, spiral-bound notebooks, other metal objects, batteries or electronics. This free event is provided by the Lorain County Solid Waste Management District. The event may end early if the truck is full. - Set sail for adventure as we celebrate the release of Christopher Nolan's "Odyssey" with the epic story that inspired it.
