Patricia 'Trish' Martha Kitchel

Patricia 'Trish' Martha Kitchel went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 2, 2026. She passed away peacefully although unexpectedly at home. Born in Bay Village, Ohio on June 30, 1952, daughter of the late Frank and Martha (Konschak) Kitchel, she spent her early years in Vanlue where she rode bikes and ponies, played tennis, and played with the family pets. Trish attended Vanlue Local School and graduated from North Ridgeville High where she was a varsity cheerleader and homecoming princess. She earned her undergraduate degree in Education from Baldwin Wallace College and her Master's in Education from Ashland College. Trish taught in the Midview School District for 16 years at elementary through high school grade levels. In her spare time, she was naturally athletic and enjoyed softball, bowling and darts. Trish retired to Palm Harbor, Florida, where she was active for 17 years in her church community at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Dunedin. She attended Bible study classes, annual church retreats and delivered meals for the church's food assistance program. She enjoyed beach days and travelled regularly to visit family and friends. Trish is survived by her children, Eric Fritz (Lori), Noah Rasor (Hillary) and three grandchildren, Eric, David and Finnegan. Trish was preceded in death by her siblings, Frank and Robert Kitchel, and leaves behind three siblings, Judith Rothgery (John, deceased), Jeanine Kitchel (Paul Zappella), and John Kitchel (Lana) and nine nieces and nephews, Frank, William, Susan, Christopher, Jeffrey, Kelley, Robert, Nicholas and Luke. A celebration of life will be held June 15, 2026 followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio.
