St. Mary serving free community Easter meal St. Mary Elyria will offer its free community Easter meal from noon to 2:30 p.m. Easter Sunday. Come and sit in the hall or use the drive thru for a meal. Everyone who is looking to share a meal is welcome. Their hall is located on St. Mary Way, next to the parish, 320 Middle Ave., Elyria. Workshop Players to present 'Harvey' Workshop Players is presenting "Harvey," a Pulitzer Prize-winning play, at 7:30 p.m. April 9, 10, 11, 17 and 18 and 3 p.m. April 12 and 19. Today - The Amherst Lions and Leo clubs are sponsoring a community Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday in Maude Neiding Park. The Easter Bunny arrives at 10:30 a.m. The hunt is for children 10 and younger. There will be three "hunt" areas, separated by age: toddler to age 3; ages 4 to 6; and ages 7 to 10. Parking is limited on site and parents should arrive early enough to plan parking at alternate locations. Donations of used, unwanted eyeglasses will be collected at the hunt. - History on the Radio Part I from 2-3:30 p.m. at the North Ridgeville Library branch. - Come check out the latest superhero releases from 3-5:15 p.m. at the Lorain Main Library. - Women's self-defense course from 2-3 p.m. at the Columbia Library branch. Monday - The Quincy Gillmore Civil War Round Table will have Dale Fellows share his presentation "How the Compromises of the Constitution Made the Civil War inevitable" at 7 p.m. The meeting will be in Lorain County Community College, iLoft Building, room 207. Tuesday - The Black River Audubon Society presents "A Bird's Eye View: The Sensory World of Birds" by Dr. Sarah Mabey at 7 p.m. at the Carlisle Reservation Visitor Center, 12882 Diagonal Road, LaGrange. Wednesday - The Elyria Library West River Road branch is hosting a wellness fair from 4-7 p.m. This free, family-friendly event will feature a variety of local health resources, interactive demonstrations, and opportunities to connect with wellness experts. Attendees can take advantage of free health screenings, learn practical strategies for reducing stress, and explore ways to improve overall fitness and well-being. - Ohio Means Jobs career counseling from 1-4:15 p.m. at the Lorain Main Library. Sea shanties are a unique tradition with deep roots in African American, English and Irish cultures, yielding an infectious repertoire of singalongs that have helped people accomplish a common goal since the 1500s. - "An Afternoon with an Author: M. Murray, a Sheffield Lake resident, will discuss her writing process inspiration and how she got started in the independent publishing world.
