'Brady Bunch' actor Christopher Knight coming to 2026 Home + Remodeling Expo

The weather is breaking, which means many homeowners contemplating renovations are seeking tips and great ideas relating to remodeling, home improvement, décor and outdoor spaces.Celebrating the arrival of spring is the Cleveland Home + Remodeling Expo, which this year features more than 300 exhibitors and takes place March 20 through 22 at the I-X Center."The Cleveland Home + Remodeling Expo is designed to help homeowners confidently plan their next project by connecting them directly with experts and ideas they can trust," said Show Manager Rosanna Hrabnicky in a press release.Attendees will have a chance to meet actor Christopher Knight, best known as Peter Brady from "The Brady Bunch" and a featured star of HGTV's record-breaking series "A Very Brady Renovation." "When I was first asked to attend these types of shows, I thought, OK, I'm not a home remodeler, so why am I going to a home remodeling show?" said Knight, calling from Los Angeles."But it turned out, home is all about family. And I'm a Brady, so it's all about family and it's all about what makes a home happy. How do you bring that love into your home? It's more than just the walls. It's about what you feel." At his upcoming appearance, Knight will share his passion for home design and renovation, which includes the widely recognized home décor Christopher Knight Home brand.Despite having been a contractor for his previous home, Knight said those days are over."It's not something I would assign myself in the future," he said. "I'm not going to swing hammers anymore." There's no denying the public's insatiable love of "The Brady Bunch," which is a story about a lovely lady, a man named Brady and, well, you know the theme song.Oddly enough, despite the fact the show originally aired between 1969 and 1974, there was actual "Brady Bunch" news last week when Los Angeles designated the Brady House — which was built in 1959 with only its exterior used in the show — as a historic and cultural landmark.The impetus for the designation was invariably "A Very Brady Renovation." The 2019 reality series paired HGTV celebrities with the Brady kids helping in not only renovating the home but recreating the iconic '70s interior (which originally was filmed on a sound stage).However, Knight's connection to the home isn't what most folks would think."I had no idea that it was just around the corner from where I lived for years," he said. "None of us knew the location until we were sitting down with HGTV. While the house had no connection with any of us, it did a connection with our audience. But everything Brady lives bigger in the rearview mirror. It continues to grow in popularity." That's true. Look no further than Knight's character coining a phrase that has been a touchstone for multiple generations over the last half-century."Look, if somebody has a pork chop on the menu that they're very proud of and they recognize me, they want me to try it," he said. "I should literally start a pork loin product because I am recognized as the expert. I'm unofficial king of pork." That said, does Knight truly enjoy porkchops and applesauce?"No, I do not like the applesauce," he said, laughing. "I like my apples but if I do any kind of relish, I'm not into sweet.
