William R. MacKeigan

William Roy MacKeigan, 67, of Lodi, Ohio, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Lodi Community Hospital following a sudden illness.He was born January 2, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Kenneth and Virginia (Bender) MacKeigan. Bill grew up in Avon where he graduated from Avon High School in 1977. He had worked for Cascade Pattern in Elyria and later for the U.S. Postal Service. Following his retirement from the Postal Service, Bill worked for RBB Systems in Wooster and recently for Midwest Automation in Wadsworth.He was a member of Abbey Road Baptist Church in Elyria, and enjoyed woodworking, creating beautiful landscaping, vegetable gardening, camping, working on cars, and drag racing. Bill loved his grandchildren and his family was his pride and joy. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and member of Lodi American Legion Post 523.Bill is survived by his wife, Joanne (Schaaf), with whom he would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this year; son, Jeremy (Jenn) MacKeigan of Amherst, and Jacob (Victoria) MacKeigan of Columbia Station; grandchildren, DeAnna, Alysia, Rylie, Hailey, Gavin, Sam, Savannah, Declan, and Ciara; godson, David; sisters, Nancy (Don) Mikitta and Karen (Ralph) Harding; and brother, David (Judy) MacKeigan.Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Robert MacKeigan.A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11 a.m. in Abbe Road Baptist Church, 670 Abbe Rd. North, Elyria, Ohio.
