Patricia E. Radigan, M.D.

Patricia E. Radigan, M.D., 72, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Patiricia is the beloved wife of 47 years to Michael F. Bahntge, M.D.; loving mother of Matthew Bahntge (Erin) and Daniel Bahntge (Molly); dear grandma of Roman and Emersyn; sister of Peggy King (Lars) and Joseph Radigan (Kathy); daughter of the late Josephine (nee Izzo) and Joseph Radigan. Pat was the valedictorian at Mineola High School and editor-in-chief of their yearbook, Signet 71. She then attended St. Lawrence University where she was inducted into phi beta kappa, graduated summa cum laude, and was valedictorian of her class. While attending State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, she was inducted into alpha omega alpha, received a citation from the American Medical Women's Association for scholastic achievement, and graduated cum laude in 1979. Pat completed her internal medicine residency training at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Following that, she trained residents at St. Luke's Medical Center; Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she was awarded the Mortimer Siegel M.D. Award for her clinical skills and outstanding teaching; and MetroHealth Medical Center. She opened a private practice in Westlake affiliated with St. John and West Shore Hospital and subsequently moved to the Lorain VA where she was promoted to medical director. Pat received The Department of Veterans Affairs Service Award and was elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. With her husband Mike, she raised Matt and Dan and spent many happy hours watching them in sports, especially hockey. They voted her 'Best Mom Ever'. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 1, 2026 at the McGORRAY-HANNA FUNERAL HOME, 25620 Center Ridge Rd, Westlake, Ohio from 1 to 4 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ladislas Church, 2345 Bassett Rd, Westlake, Ohio; Monday, March 2 at 11 a.m. (please meet at church).
