Ohio AFL-CIO endorses Sherrod Brown for U.S Senate

The Ohio AFL-CIO, a state federation of labor unions, this week endorsed former Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Bexley, to return to the post. "Sherrod has never backed down from a fight to stand up for all Ohioans, no matter what part of the state they call home," Ohio AFL-CIO President Tim Burga said in a news release. "Whether fighting for good jobs that expand the working middle class, securing earned retirement benefits or taking on powerful special interests, Sherrod has consistently delivered for working families. He is guided by the values he learned growing up in Mansfield, and unlike his opponent, he will make the affordability crisis his No. 1 priority. Ohioans deserve a senator who will fight every day for a worker-first agenda — not one who caters to the interests of billionaires." Jon Husted, R-Upper Arlington, who was appointed to fill the unexpired term created when JD Vance was elected vice president of the United States. The special election is in November.
