Edward Dale Carte (June 13, 1948 - December 29, 2025)

Dale went home to Jesus on Monday December 29, 2025 at age 77. Dale was a man of strong faith, family and unshakable conviction. Stubborn and set in his ways, he lived a life of hard work and devotion, loving his children and staying true to his vows. He dedicated much of his life to Reliable Spring and Wire Co, rarely missing a day, no matter what his circumstances were. The example that he led his life by, set the bar very high for his children. He taught us so many valuable lessons about life. Lessons about faith, dedication, hard work, family values, cooking, love and living life, just to name a few. Lessons that can only be taught by a man with his integrity and character. We were so blessed to have him in our life and thankful God chose us to be his family. Dale was a man of many talents! He could fix anything! He had a way about him that made anyone feel happy to be in his company. People say he was a jolly spirit! Dale loved music and played the drums and guitar in a band with his brother in his younger days. He found great joy in cooking for his family and he was always singing and whistling while doing so. His biscuits and gravy were heaven sent. He loved to tell stories and we loved to hear them. Oh, and his laugh, his laugh was his trademark. It just made you smile to hear him laugh. Dale will be deeply missed and we will spend the rest of our days looking forward to spending eternity with him. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vickie; his children, Christy (Tom), Jamie (Justin); grandchildren, Shandale, Shane (Jordan), Kobe-Luke, Maverick, Keegan and Kase; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Bryce and Corbin; siblings, Moddy, Faye, Sharon and Beverly. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil and loving mother, Madolyn; his precious daughter, Michelle; and siblings, James, Jackie, Bobby, Larry, Wendall, Charles, Lyle, Keith and Mary Lou. There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date, where stories will be shared, laughter will fill the room and Dale would insist everyone enjoy great food!
