Mary Adith Ocheltree

Mary Adith Ocheltree passed away peacefully in her home Monday, January 5, 2026, at the age of 77. She was born November 16, 1948, in Manilla, Arkansas, to Jake and Marie Shaver. Mary dedicated many years of her life to public service as a correction officer at Lorain Correctional Institution, where she worked with integrity and commitment until her retirement in 2010. Her steady presence and professionalism earned the respect of her colleagues and those she served alongside. For 59 years, Mary shared a devoted marriage with her husband, Archie Ocheltree. Together they built a strong family foundation. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Charles Ocheltree (Ylonda) and Archie Ocheltree (Linda); grandsons, Bradley Ocheltree, Ben Ocheltree (Karina), Justin Ocheltree, and Ken Bryant; and great-grandchildren, Logan and Kaylee Ocheltree. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Jake Shaver, in 1973; mother, Marie Shaver, in 2010; and grandson, Brendan Ocheltree, in 2022. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched.
