AMHERST — Amalee Caldera iced the game at the free throw line for Amherst in a girls basketball season opener, scoring a game-high 18 points Friday in a 49-48 win over Bay. Morgan Lymer added nine points for the Comets. Caldera connected on a free throw with 14.5 seconds left to extend the lead to three points.
