Robert Floyd Miller

Robert Floyd Miller, 76, a lifelong resident of Lorain County, passed away peacefully Friday, November 7, 2025, at New Life Hospice following a brief illness. Born in Lorain on June 13, 1949, Bob made his home in Henrietta Township with his beloved wife, Gail, with whom he shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. He worked as an operator at Ford Motor Company in Sandusky for 40 years before retiring, earning the respect and friendship of many along the way. Bob was a man who found great joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time outdoors, especially tending to his two gardens and proudly growing his pumpkins each year. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working on tractors and cars, there wasn't much he couldn't fix. His loyal dogs, Josie and Maggie, were always by his side, a constant source of companionship and love. Family meant everything to Bob. He shared a deep and loving bond with his wife, Gail, daughter, Jessica, and son, Brad. His grandchildren, Austin and Blase, brought him endless pride and happiness, as did his six grand-dogs who were part of the family in every way. He is survived by his wife, Gail Miller; daughter, Jessica Potts (companion, Mark Dumas) of Wakeman; son, Brad Miller (Mary) of Ashland; grandchildren, Austin and Blaise Miller; brothers, Lloyd Miller (Judy) of Grafton, and Raymond Miller of Huron. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Elma (nee Butcher) Miller; and his siblings, Elmer Miller and Gladys Steinmetz. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. in Hempel Funeral Home in Amherst.
