Loretta M. Bursley

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Loretta M. Bursley, 87, of Gilbert, Arizona on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 after a long illness. As was her nature, she faced this struggle with amazing strength and grace and will be forever missed by all whose lives she touched. Born May 15, 1938 in Lorain, she was the daughter of the late Mike and Ann Dimitroff (nee Pruchnicki). She attended Lorain High before traveling to Yuma, Arizona to marry the love of her life, Jim Bursley in 1956. Loretta was a hairdresser and worked at Shear Sensation for many years before retiring in 1994. After retirement, Loretta and Jim moved across the country and settled in Gilbert, Arizona to be near family. She was a creative spirit who enjoyed painting, sketching, game playing, and watching old movies. She was especially fond of holiday decorating and her Halloween and Christmas designs were always the talk of the neighborhood. Loretta was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years Jim, and her sister, Mary Lou Judge. She leaves behind a son Jim; daughter, Laura Sabo (Tom); and granddaughters, Courtney and Danielle Sabo all of Arizona. A memorial service is planned for November 1, 2025 in Arizona.
