Local businesses invited to present at 2025 Career Pathways Expo Oct. 21-22

The two-day, hands-on 2025 Career Pathways Expo, Oct. 21-22 at the Lorain County Fairgrounds' Ross Exposition Center, will introduce local students to real-world careers and the employers behind them. The Expo is organized by the Lorain County Business Advisory Council. It is meant to give students a chance to explore careers in manufacturing, healthcare, skilled trades, information technology, public service, education and more. More than 3,000 middle and high school students from all 15 public school districts in Lorain County are expected to attend. The Oct. 21 event will focus on middle school students while the Oct. 22 event will be geared toward high school students. Hours both days are 9 to 2 p.m. In a news release, Lorain County commissioners said it is encouraging local businesses to participate in the event by hosting interactive exhibits or demonstrations that showcase the skills and opportunities in their industries. Each exhibitor will host a short, hands-on activity or demonstration to engage students, who will rotate through stations and participate in a "Career Quest" bingo-style game, designed to expose them to a wide variety of career paths.
