Glen Alan Buckhannon

Glen Alan Buckhannon, 63, of Sherman, Texas, formerly of Elyria, Ohio passed away after a short illness Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center, Sherman, Texas. Glen was born November 21, 1961, in Elyria, Ohio to Francis and Joan (nee Bement) Buckhannon. He attended Elyria City Schools, graduating Class of 1980. Glen faithfully served his country in the US Navy. He worked as a Lead Rotary Valve Builder for the Emerson Automation Solutions Company for many years in Sherman, Texas. He was raised in Elyria and followed the Catholic faith. As an accomplished bowler, Glen was known to bowl several 300-point games. He was an All-Star pitcher and enjoyed Nascar racing, always enjoyed watching his father, Francis, race at Lorain County and Sandusky Speedways. Surviving members of Glens' family include his parents, Francis and Joan Buckhannon; sisters, Julie Daggett (Dennis) of Elyria and Becky McMullen (Derek) of Avon Lake; nephews, David and Nicholas; and niece, Jammie; fiancé, LaLaine Legg of Sherman, Texas. Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Glen and Mary Bement; paternal grandparents, John and Mildred Buckhannon; aunt Dorothy Galler; and his best buddy, his late dog, Buster. Glen was a kindhearted person and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m, at the Busch Funeral Home 114 Second St., Elyria. Funeral service Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
