Mark L. Blair, 65, of Wakeman, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at home surrounded by those who loved him most.

Mark L. Blair, 65, of Wakeman, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at home surrounded by those who loved him most. He was born June 29, 1959 in Elyria, Ohio to Charles and Elizabeth (Yunker) Blair. Mark grew up with an appreciation of the simple joys in life. Tinkering in his garage, there wasn't much he couldn't fix. He was a selfless and dependable man. Mark enjoyed capturing the beauty of life through his camera lens. He lived to make memories with his family, especially while fishing. His family was his heart and soul. He will be remembered for his unshakable love for them. He worked his entire career for ODOT as the Transportation Manager.Mark was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church-Wakeman, Wakeman Eagles, past member of the Western Reserve School Board, and served on the Carlisle Township Volunteer Fire Department. Mark is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Kim (Whitacre), whom he married on June 12, 1982. He was the loving father to Ryan and Michelle Blair, Ashley Blair and Addison Fisher, and Jason Blair. He was an amazing Papa to Gavin, Savannah, Jack, Bentley, Adalynn and Kinslee. He is also survived by his siblings, Kurt (Christie) Blair, Marcia (Tommy) Loparo, Charlene Blair, Laura (Tommy) Blair; devoted in-laws, Jeff (Brenda) Whitacre, Julie Markus, Jennifer Key; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mark was preceded in death by his sister, Marna Blair; parents, Charles and Elizabeth Blair; and Jack and Nancy Whitacre. Friends may call on Sunday, June 15, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home, Wakeman Chapel, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman. A funeral mass will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church-Wakeman, 46 E Main Street (U.S. Route 20), Wakeman with Reverend Ron Brickner presiding. Burial will follow at a later date in St. Mary Cemetery, Wakeman, Ohio.
