Victim in Tower Boulvard shooting on Friday ID'd

The Lorain County Coroner's Office on Saturday identified a man killed in a shooting late Friday afternoon on Tower Boulevard in Lorain. The victim, Larry Moore, 21, was shot multiple times, according to Dr. Frank Miller. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, the coroner said. That shooting happened shortly after 5 p.m. Friday when Lorain police officers responded to Tower Boulevard just east of Oberlin Avenue.Moore and another man, whom police have yet to publicly identify, were found with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of 1139 Tower Blvd. The second victim was taken first to Mercy Health Hospital in Lorain then flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. His condition was not immediately known. A third man believed to be involved in the shooting was detained by police whom as of Friday night had not filed any charges, Lorain police said following the shooting. Police cordoned off the alleged crime scene behind a row of stores including the Mild 2 Wild nail salon and Fun Gurl Studio on Tower Boulevard. A gray Subaru could be seen parked next to a body covered in a white sheet. Witnesses said they heard gunshots and some employees at Fun Gurl Studio, which does hair care and wigs, gave aid to the two victims. No other injuries were reported. Less than two hours later, Lorain police responded to another shooting on Lorain's east side. At that scene, detectives were seen removing evidence from an apartment in the 2800 block of Cromwell Avenue. At least one person was transported from the scene to a hospital.
