Catherine J. Truslow

Catherine J. Truslow (nee Hama), 88, of North Ridgeville, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a lengthy illness. She was born April 30, 1936 in Lakewood, and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 11 years, moving from North Olmsted. Catherine loved to dance and enjoyed playing Bingo and the lottery. One of her favorite pastimes was watching the deer in her yard. She found her greatest joy in cooking for and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Christine Strimpel of Elyria, Sandra (James) Koch of Elyria, Linda Riddell of Elyria, and Kathie (Scott) Froehlich of North Olmsted; a son, William (Crystal) Truslow of North Ridgeville; grandchildren, Renee, Darlene, Laura, Kimberly, Kevin, Brooke, Brian, Matthew, Jeffrey Jr., Brandi, Scottie, Brianna, and Brandon; sixteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Catherine was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Tresch Sr.; son-in-law, Lawrence Riddell; parents, Joseph and Anna (nee Borousky) Hama; siblings, Joseph, John, Paul, Frank, Andrew, Michael, Steven, Anne, Terry, Rose, Julie, and Helen. Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
