Paramedics cleared the driver of any medical emergencies and the person was released to family members. Tuesday, April 4 12:44 a.m. — Lorain County Jail, warrant served. 3:37 p.m. — state Route 2, traffic stop; citation issued for speeding. 4:07 p.m. — 700 block of Westpointe Drive, theft from a vehicle. 5:06 p.m. — Hamilton Street, domestic disturbance; determined to be verbal and parties were separated. 6:07 p.m. — 600 block of Eastpointe Court, theft from a vehicle. Wednesday, April 5 No time given — 3700 Kolbe Road, dispatched to Mercy Regional Hospital for a report of a felonious assault. The assault did not occur within the city of Amherst, but officers were called to speak with the man following surgery for the injuries he sustained. Thursday, April 6 7:40 a.m. — St. Joseph Drive, report of a broken gate and a front bumper left on the ground. 11:11 a.m. — 2201 Kresge Drive, private property accident. 1:48 p.m. — 700 block of Green Forest Drive, report of a 40-year-old man overdosing on narcotics; naloxone was administered and the man was taken to a hospital. Campbell, 26, of Amherst was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, refusing to submit to breath testing and failure to control. 7:46 p.m. — 799 N. Leavitt Road, welfare check of a young woman in the dining area at Sheetz. The female advised she was involved in a possible sex offense several days earlier at the Motel 6 on North Leavitt Road and was taken to the hospital for examination. The case was forwarded to detectives for investigation. 11:58 p.m. — 1161 Milan Ave., officers responded to the Eagles Aerie Club, where screaming was heard in the background and callers reported that the involved parties left in two dark-colored SUVs. It was determined that a woman assaulted another woman and stole a mobile phone before leaving the scene, and she was later picked up by Lorain police. Melinda Falish, 41, of Lorain was charged with theft and assault and taken to Lorain County Jail. Saturday, April 8 3:34 a.m. — 500 block of Milan Ave., property damage to a residence; eggs thrown at a home and vehicle and side door forced in but no entry made. Monday, April 10 9:37 a.m. — 700 block of Westpointe Drive, report of a suicidal person; taken to a hospital for treatment. Friday, April 14 5:14 a.m. — 1833 Cooper Foster Park Road, a man told officers his car was shot at; after an investigation, officers determined the incident took place in Lorain. 2:30 p.m. — 450 Washington St., a juvenile student at Marion L. Steele High School reported receiving a threatening message via SnapChat from an unknown username; the message was forwarded to investigators. 7:21 p.m. — Cleveland Avenue, traffic stop; citation issued for expired plates. 7:44 p.m. — Cooper Foster Park Road, traffic stop; citation issued for expired plates. Leavitt Road, report of a fight in progress at Denny's Restaurant; it was determined there was a fight between a co-worker and a manager and the co-worker left before officers arrived and left his keys. Officers took the keys and attempts to locate him are ongoing, so he will have to speak to officers to get the keys back. 1:35 p.m. — police department, officers were told of a belated kidnapping incident that occurred at Giant Eagle at 2201 Kresge Drive earlier in the evening; an investigation is pending.
