Community Action Agency 2022 annual report released

The Lorain County Community Action Agency has released its 2022 annual report, which details the services LCCAA has provided to in the past year as recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic continues. "Our programs are a lifeline for thousands of families living through the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic," President and CEO Jackie Boehnlein said. Highlights of the report include: a new home for Head Start at the Central Plaza building on Broadway in Lorain. record-setting service delivery in energy services. a new partnership with OhioMeansJobs that provides insurance for By Car clients. the launch of the agency's Pathways HUB to impact infant mortality in the county. creation of a Pregnancy Support Services Program under Head Start. The report also describes the results of the agency's latest Community Needs Assessment, presented in June 2022. Additionally, success stories in rental assistance, energy services, the agency's bike shop and Head Start are included.
