Cecile A. Gardner

Cecile A. Gardner (nee Crittenden), 84, of Elyria, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at O'Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville following a long illness. She was born August 20, 1938 in Sullivan and was a lifelong area resident. Cecile worked at Green Circle Growers for 45 years, retiring as a laborer in 2018. She enjoyed gambling, spending time with her family and traveling with her late husband. Survivors include her daughters, Ronda (Don) Trigg and Renea Gardner; son, George H. Gardner; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Eleanor Gentry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis 'Buster the Babe' Gardner on August 10, 2021; daughter, Rita Pritt; son, Michael Gardner and a sister, Vicki Kirkpatrick. The family will receive friends Monday, September 12, 2022 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The Reverend Robert Shank, Jr., Cecile's nephew, will officiate.
