A Glock 48 firearm in his possession was also taken and put into evidence. 9:54 a.m. — a resident of the 900 block of Dodge Drive brought in items to be destroyed; they were not listed. 12 p.m. — Cooper Foster Park Road, assisted Lorain police to locate a vehicle that had fled their officers that a witness reported driving "all over the roadway" before striking a guardrail in Amherst Township. Monday, July 4 9:11 p.m. — North Ridge Road, officers were flagged down by a motorist to point out a man passed out behind the wheel of a car near McDonald's on Middle Ridge Road. State Highway Patrol and deputies were called to the scene. 9:25 p.m. — Alexander Drive, possible overdose reported; while en route, a woman at the home took an unknown amount of prescription pills. The woman was taken by ambulance to the hospital. 9:26 p.m. — 704 N. Leavitt Road, overdose reported; a 35-year-old woman from Lorain was found overdosed. She regained consciousness and was taken to the hospital. Tuesday, July 5 11:32 a.m. — state Route 58, traffic stop; citation issued for expired plates. 8:23 p.m. — 43000 block of Middle Ridge Road, met Elyria police to transfer prisoner. 9:52 p.m. — 1200 block of Spruce Tree Lane, disturbance reported. Sunday, July 17 9:35 a.m. — police department, a resident reported that two women stole a Bigfoot statue from his front yard at 3:30 a.m. The incident is under investigation. Leavitt Road, random registration check at Speedway, traffic stop; Terrence Brown, 34, of Lorain was arrested on charge of violating a protection order and cited with driving under suspension and expired plates. Monday, July 18 8:02 p.m. — 393 S. Lake St., a man reportedly called police to say he was lost. Dispatchers ran his information and discovered an active warrant through Elyria police for failing to appear on original charges of intoxicated disorderly conduct and persistent disorderly conduct. Officers reportedly located D'andre S. Willis, 32, of Lorain, at the entrance of Powers Elementary School, handcuffed him and took him to Elyria police. 8:18 p.m. — Oak Point Road and state Route 2 westbound entrance ramp, Amherst firefighters, police and LifeCare responded to an accident. David Burkhart II, 42, of Vermilion was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, refusing to submit to blood alcohol testing and right of way when turning left. 11:10 p.m. — Church Street, a pedestrian fell while walking, and police requested LifeCare to check on his injury. After investigating, a citation was issued for intoxicated disorderly conduct. Tuesday, July 19 12:31 a.m. — Ceasars Circle, juvenile complaint; determined to be verbal and parties were separated. 9:29 a.m. — 704 N. Leavitt Road, lost prescription reported from 940 N. Leavitt Road several days earlier.
