Avon Lake police Sunday, May 15 9:29 p.m. — Jaycox Road, disturbing the peace. Jamel Geiger, 19, and a 17-year-old juvenile relative were cited with disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct, and an unruly juvenile offense, all misdemeanors. Officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Jaycox Road after a disturbance was reported, and found several people fighting outside. They interviewed witnesses and the parties involved and wrote summonses for Geiger and the juvenile to appear in court. Tuesday, May 17 8:30 a.m. — Winners Circle, theft. A 52-year-old man reported that someone entered his two unlocked cars, a 2022 Kia Telluride and a 2015 BMW 328i, overnight and stole his wife's wallet. The wallet had debit and/or credit cards and her Costco membership card inside. Wednesday, May 18 6:27 p.m. — Canter Court, theft. A Western Reserve Circle resident showed up at the police station to report their 2019 Lincoln MKC was broken into overnight. Stolen were a wristlet, driver's license, insurance cards, $20, a credit card and a pair of Michael Kors glasses. Thursday, May 19 12:54 p.m. — Spinnaker Drive, theft. A 33-year-old woman reported that her debit card, driver's license and gift cards were missing from her purse. Someone then used her debit card to steal $1,650 from her bank account. 1:44 p.m. — Brennans Court, disturbance. A father, 40, and his daughter, 17, got into an argument that turned physical. A report was taken and will be reviewed for possible charges. 2:51 p.m. — Walker Road, forgery. A 51-year-old man reported that someone cashed $1,027 worth of checks on his business checking account that were not written by him. He advised his bank of the fraudulent activity and made a police report, which was referred to the Detective Bureau. 2:56 p.m. — Oakwood Drive, identity theft. A 62-year-old woman reported her identity was stolen and used to open lines of credit. Her report was referred to the Detective Bureau. 7:46 p.m. — Parkwood Avenue, drug overdose. Officers responded to a report of a combative 27-year-old man suffering a drug overdose. The man was assessed by the Avon Lake Fire Department and transported to Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital. Friday, May 20 1:45 p.m. — Lake Road, burglary. A 62-year-old man reported waking up to find his patio door and bedroom window were both open and that someone stole his Microsoft Surface laptop. No value was given for the stolen computer. Sunday, May 22 7:30 p.m. — Aqua Marine Boulevard, drug overdose. A 36-year-old woman overdosed on drugs and was found on the floor of her bedroom. First responders gave her naloxone to reverse the overdose and she was taken to a hospital. No drugs were found in the home. 8:35 p.m. — Overlook Park, lost/found property. A 38-year-old Lear Road woman reported she gave her iPhone 13 Pro Max to her juvenile son, who then lost it at the park.
