Lorain Schools' Alumni Association 2022 Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame Inductees

The Lorain Schools Alumni Association Inc. announced the selection of its fourth class into the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame. The Distinguished Alumni Award honors graduates of Admiral King, Lorain Catholic, Lorain High, Southview and St. Mary's (at least 15 years from graduation) who have made significant impact on their communities and professions. The Class of 2022 Distinguished Alumni are: • Brian Amison, AKHS Class of 1988 (Medicine)• Dr. Vernell Bennett-Fairs, LHS Class of 1986 (Education)• Elaine Georgas, AKHS Class of 1980 (Public Service)• Jeremy Goldberg, AKHS Class of 1998 (Information Systems)• Janelle Jones, SVHS Class of 2002 (Public Service)• Nicholas Marsico, AKHS Class of 1994 (Community Leader/Medicine)• Catherine Molleno, SVHS Class of 2007 (Education)• Carl Nielsen, LHS Class of 1978 (Community Leader/Business)• Giovonni Santiago, SVHS Class of 2004 (Public Service)• Paula Scrofano, LHS Class of 1968 (Fine Arts)• Jared Shullick, SVHS Class 2004 (Military)• Harvey J. Herrmann, 1964-1991 (Teacher Category) This year's recipients will be honored at an awards breakfast June 26 at the Shipyards Banquet Hall on the second floor. The doors will open at 9 a.m. and the program will begin at 9:30 a.m. The cost to attend this event is $25 and includes breakfast. Reservations can be made by calling (440) 984-7012 or by contacting Alumni Association Board members and will be accepted until June 13. There will be no ticket sales the day of the event.
