Walter G. Casper II

Walter G. Casper II, 80, passed away unexpectedly earlier this month February 2022. He was born in Berea on February 26, 1941, to Walter G. Casper and Mary (Rados) Casper. He was raised in Columbia Station. Walter attended St. Mary's of the Falls, St. Ignatius High School and graduated from St. Joseph's Preparatory School in Bardstown, Kentucky. He attended college at Baldwin Wallace College and the University of Dayton. Walter enjoyed a successful career in banking and finance with Union Commerce Bank in Cleveland, and Arlington, Texas. Later in life, he enjoyed other endeavors in exterior restoration, manufacturing and machining, as well as real estate. A wealth of knowledge and having possessed a brilliant, mechanical mind, Walt was often called upon to lend his expertise and help in fixing most anything. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter G. and Mary R. Casper, and companion, Emily A. Walker. Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Carol (Casper) Perzy; a caring son, loving daughter, and devoted granddaughter, Ava. Walt 'Corky' is fondly remembered by his extended family, the Walker family, lifelong friends, and numerous associates. To honor Walter's request, a private service for the immediate family will be held at St. Mary's of the Falls, Olmsted Falls. A graveside service will immediately follow the Mass at St. Mary's of the Falls Cemetery, 1260 W. Bagley Rd., Berea. A celebration of life honoring Walter will be held at a later date for family and friends.
