Alex Krutowskis

Alex Krutowskis, 71, of Elyria, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 with family by his side. He was born October 22, 1950 in Nördlingen, Germany to the late Nikolais and Erna (nee Schröpel) Krutowskis. Alex had a long career in printing and retired as a Master Book Binder. Alex was a proud redcoat volunteer for Fairview Hospital for 23 years and also a volunteer at Elyria Hospital for around 18 years with cumulative total volunteer hours of 8,230. Alex touched so many lives and made so many friends as a volunteer. Alex enjoyed traveling to Germany, Ireland, Disney and Niagara Falls with his wife and daughters. Alex looked forward to his 'boys only trips' to Michigan to watch NASCAR Races and his TASSLE (Tour along South Side Lake Erie) bike rides which traversed the roadways from North Olmsted to Cedar Point. Alex enjoyed fishing with friends and grandchildren. He found great joy being around his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Patricia (nee Corcoran) Krutowskis of 47 years; cherished daughters, Nicole Finnerty (David Beko) and Lauren (Daniel) Wilkinson; treasured grandchildren, Riley and Paige Finnerty and Madelyn and Willow Wilkinson; dear brother of Christa (Steve) Turnbull and Peter (Teri) Krutowskis; beloved nieces and nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Bev Krutowskis. In the early years of Alex's life, he was cared for by a foster family the Hoffman family, Eugene and Joyce Hoffman and brother, Dwight (Emily) Hoffman. Friends and family may call on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, November 29, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 708 Erie St., Grafton, OH 44044 (please meet at the church). Alex will be privately laid to rest at a later date.
