Elyria police Monday, Oct. 4 3:29 p.m. — McDonalds, Broad Street, trespassing. Trynell Davis, 29, of 16th Street, was arrested on a misdemeanor criminal trespass charge. An officer reportedly saw Davis, who had been banned from the restaurant at 595 Broad St. on May 13 and again on Oct. 1, in the parking lot there. Davis told the officer he knew he was not allowed to be there, was arrested and taken to Lorain County Jail. Tuesday, Oct. 5 7:55 p.m. — Portia Court, carrying a concealed weapon. Steven Price, 30, of Portia Court, was arrested on felony charges of having weapons under disability, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs, possession of a defaced firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as warrants for misdemeanor theft and criminal trespassing. Officers investigating a disturbance outside Price's residence reportedly seized a silver and black .22-caliber Jennings J-22 handgun with the serial number scratched off, 2.8 grams of suspected meth, four Xanax pills and a meth pipe from Price. He was taken to Lorain County Jail. 7:08 p.m. — Bell Avenue, lost/found property. A 51-year-old Bell Avenue woman reported finding a red BMX bicycle in her front yard. Police took the bicycle for safekeeping. 5:26 p.m. — North Ridge Road, warrant service. Cheryna Samples, 27, of Lorain, was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court through Elyria Municipal Court in a 2019 criminal case. She was taken to the Lorain County Jail. 1:35 p.m. — IHOP, property damage. The restaurant at 1160 West River Road N. reported that someone had broken the north side door out of its frame, and officers also found the south side door with its glass smashed out. Both front doors, on the east side of the building, also had their glass broken but not completely smashed out and several windows also showed evidence of damage. No one was inside and the city of Elyria was notified to board up the broken doors. 8:49 a.m. — Middle Avenue, assault. Savonna Holloway, 28, of Middle Avenue, was arrested on misdemeanor assault and aggravated menacing charges. Holloway reportedly threatened a child who had been fighting with her son and said that she would "beat your a--." As a police sergeant, numerous children and other parents watched, Holloway reportedly grabbed the boy by the hair and threw him to the ground, telling him "I'm gonna break your jaw when you come home." Lorain County Children Services also was notified, and Holloway was taken to the Lorain County Jail. 1:21 a.m. — Lorain County Jail, warrant service. Michael Truman, 42, of Amherst, was arrested on a warrant through Elyria municipal Court in a 2021 criminal case. Saturday, Oct. 9 9:37 p.m. — Fullerton Road and Gulf Road, operating a vehicle impaired. Nicole Tomaszycki, 28, of Ohio Street, was arrested on a misdemeanor DUI charge and a misdemeanor reasonable control charge. Officers found Tomaszycki's car on Fullerton Road, where she had hit two mailboxes and a boulder. Uninjured from the crash, Tomaszycki reportedly failed three field sobriety tests, refused chemical tests and was booked and released to the custody of her fiancee. 4:27 p.m. — Lorain County Jail, warrant service. Georgia Bode, 61, of Strongsville, was arrested on a bench warrant through Elyria Municipal Court in a 2020 traffic case. 2:44 p.m. — Mercy Health Hospital, Lorain, warrant service. Cody Vanhoose, 29, of Cleveland, was issued a summons to appear in Elyria Municipal Court on a bench warrant in a 2017 traffic case. Sunday, Oct. 10 9:05 p.m. — Speedway, Lorain Boulevard, drug investigation. Jim Fields, 26, of Sheffield, was arrested on a felony drug possession charge and a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Officers responded to a report of a man doing drugs in the bathroom of the convenience store to find Fields sitting in a silver Chevrolet Cruze in the parking lot. Approximately 1.3 grams of unknown white powder, 1.2 grams of unknown pills and a glass smoking pipe with suspected drug residue inside reportedly were seized from Fields' car and he was taken to the Lorain County Jail. 2:31 p.m. — West Avenue, menacing. Nomar Salas, 21, of Lorain, was arrested on a misdemeanor aggravated menacing charge. A 20-year-old Elyria man told police that Salas had threatened to kill him and pointed a gun at him. As the alleged victim spoke with police, Salas called him on the phone and offered to meet him at Cascade Park. Instead, Salas was met there by police officers, arrested and taken to Lorain County Jail. 1:35 p.m. — West River Road North, theft. A 28-year-old West River Road North man reported someone sawed off and stole the catalytic converter from his car sometime overnight. 1:22 a.m. — Lorain County Jail, warrant service. Joshua Lynch, 33, of Cleveland, was arrested on a bench warrant through Elyria Municipal Court. Monday, Oct. 11 7:33 p.m. — Fowl Road, domestic violence. Markeyus Durham, 33, of Belmont Avenue, was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence and assault charges. The 25-year-old victim and mother of Durham's child said he assaulted her and destroyed property in her apartment before driving off in her car. He allegedly punched her in the right side and threatened to kill her, and also punched her in the face. Officers later stopped the victim's car on Turner Street, reportedly found Durham driving and placed him under arrest. 4:18 p.m. — Marseilles Avenue, theft. A 53-year-old Marseilles Avenue woman reported that two fog lights were stolen off her black Dodge Charger the night before. 3:20 p.m. — Delaware Avenue, assault. Cheyenne Clark, 19, of Delaware Avenue, was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge. Clark reportedly grabbed a 17-year-old girl, pushed her to the ground, scratched her and pulled her hair after claiming the child had disrespected Clark's mother. Kathyleen Roberts, 46, of Delaware Avenue, who is Clark's mother, also was arrested on a warrant through the Lorain Police Department, and was handed over to Lorain police custody. 10:59 p.m. — State Route 113 and Clemens Avenue, warrant service. William Holt III, 48, of Bethesda Circle, was arrested on a contempt of court warrant through the Elyria Police Department. Holt was arrested following a traffic stop, issued a citation and released at the scene. Tuesday, Oct. 12 11:38 p.m. — Oberlin Avenue and West 44th Street, Lorain, warrant service. Nychel Kerlin, 34, of Delaware Avenue, was arrested on a bench warrant through the Elyria Police Department on traffic charges from 2020. She was cited and released with orders to appear in Elyria Municipal Court on Oct. 13. 6:56 p.m. — North Lake Street, Amherst, warrant service. William O'Bryon, 26, of Vermilion, was arrested on a bench warrant through Elyria Municipal Court in a 2021 criminal case. O'Bryon was handed over to the custody of Elyria police by Vermilion police. 5:31 p.m. — Woodford Avenue and Gateway Boulevard South, drug investigation. Samantha Hirsch, 25, of Bellfield Avenue, was arrested on two felony charges of possession of methamphetamine and posession of heroin and one misdemeanor charge of endangering children. Hirsch reportedly was found sitting in the driver's seat of a gold Chevrolet Cavalier in the parking lot of the Lorain County Bicycle Path, snorting something from her hands. Her car's registration also had expired in June. A small boy, age 2, was in the back seat of the car and an officer saw drug paraphernalia in the car along with what turned out to be 1.2 grams of suspected heroin and 1.6 grams of suspected meth. Lorain County Children Services was contacted and Hirsch taken to Lorain County Jail. 4:59 p.m. — D&M Mart, Lake Avenue, possession of drug paraphernalia. Demaris Milum, 43, of Bailey Court, was cited with a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Milum reportedly told officers she had felt sick after leaving a funeral and after stopping was "confronted by an unidentified female in the parking lot." She said she was driving to the Elyria Police Department at 18 West Ave. when she was stopped by officers. A black pen casing with unknown white powder inside and a folded piece of paper with an unknown powder inside were seized. Milum was issued a citation and released to a friend. Tests on the suspected drugs came back inconclusive. 11:31 a.m. — Brunswick Drive, domestic violence. Thomas Clark Jr., 27, of Brunswick Drive, was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence and assault charges. Clark allegedly pushed his 24-year-old girlfriend after arguing about him evicting her, and threatened to strangle her. Clark was taken to the Lorain County Jail.
