LCCC opens auditions for 'James and the Giant Peach'

ELYRIA — Lorain County Community College Theatre will present a stage adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic novel "James and the Giant Peach" from Nov. 18-20 at the Stocker Arts Center, 1005 N. Abbe Road. Auditions will be held there 4-7 p.m. Sunday and 7-10 p.m. Monday. Director Jeremy Benjamin is excited to welcome back a regular live production, collaborating with Spark Theatre 4 Youth and working alongside a production team of four LCCC theater program alumni. The crew includes co-producer Rachel Endrizzi, co-founder of Spark Theatre; co-director Stephanie Wilbert, adjunct faculty member at LCCC; co-director Erin Dolan, playwright and early childhood educator; and Lindsay Carter, a professional stage manager. "I remember each and every one of them when they came through here as young adults exploring their interests in theater," Benjamin said. "I worked on productions with them and knew each one would be successful with a career in theater or the performing arts."
