Cassandra (Moore) Allen

Cassandra (Moore) Allen, 49, of Lorain, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 8, 2021 at Mercy Regional Medical Center. She was born July 29, 1971 in Lorain, where she was a lifelong resident. Cassandra graduated from Lorain High School in 1989. She was an entrepreneur who founded and operated her own childcare center, A Rising Star, for nearly 15 years. She was also known for her event planning abilities, which led to her launching a second business, Events and Moore. She was a member of Woodford Avenue Ministry of Reconciliation Church of God in Christ in Elyria. She served in various areas of the ministry, such as the Pastor Aide President, The First Lady's Armor Bearer, Hospitality President and Event Coordinator. She enjoyed shopping, decorating, dancing, playing cards and spending time with family. Cassandra will be sadly missed by her children, Mareesha Hannibal of Lorain, Tirell Allen of Lorain, Michael (Tearra) Hannibal of Riverview, Florida, Marquayvien Hannibal and Monét Roberts of Elyria; 16 grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl Taylor of Lorain, Eunice Berry of Akron, Evangelist Rosalind 'Marie' Moore of Lorain and Regina Moore of Riverdale, Georgia; brothers, Elder Theodore 'Teddy' (Vickie) Moore, Jr. of Hephzibah, Georgia, Thurman Moore of Lorain, James 'Dokie' (Marla) Moore of Sandusky, Timothy Moore of Riverdale, Georgia and Ronnie (Ava) Moore of Orange Park, Florida and a host of other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Allen; her parents, Theodore Sr. and Carolyn (nee Taylor) Moore; grandparents, Richard Sr. and Rachel Taylor and Elztar Windchester. A public viewing will be Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at God's Kingdom, 423 Washington Ave., Lorain. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
