Louise Cromwell

Louise Cromwell (nee Copa), 85, of Sheffield Lake, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 in her home. Louise was born in 1936 in Lorain and attended Lorain City Schools. Louise was married to her husband, David for 66 years. She was employed by the Sheffield-Sheffield Lake School System for 48 years. She had a true passion for educating and assisting elementary school children and teachers. Louise was a member of the school union. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid bingo and video player. She coached girls softball and was an active P.T.O. member and the girl scouts. She was the loving mother of David of Elyria, Dana (Carla) of Richmond, Indiana, Diane of Elyria, Christine (Greg) of Berlin, New Jersey and Catherine of Sheffield Lake. She was her children's biggest fan; devoted grandmother of Scott (Megan) Cordova, Bryan (Erin) Cromwell, Angela (Benjamin) Cohen, Adam (Micela) Woolf, Savannah Woolf, Patrick (Amanda) Mize, Daniel (Hannah) Mize and Rebekah Cromwell; admired great-grandmother of 11 great-grandchildren and sister of Tony Copa. She was preceded in death by her husband, David; parents, Eliseo and Angelina Copa; one brother; one sister and two grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, February 26, 2021 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Rd., Avon. A 10 a.m. funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 27, 2021 followed by interment at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
