Elyria police Tuesday, Jan. 26 8:13 p.m. — Furnace Street, warrant service. Jason Boggs, 38, was arrested on a warrant through the Ohio Adult Parole Authority. Officers went to Boggs' address in the 300 block of Furnace Street to assist LifeCare, learned Boggs had a warrant out for his arrest and took him to Lorain County Jail. Wednesday, Jan. 27 11:09 p.m. — Tedman Court, child endangering. Violet Arroyo, 26, was issued a summons to appear in court on misdemeanor charges of endangering children. Officers working a Lorain Metropolitan Housing Authority security detail learned that there were two young children, ages 6 and 7, who had been left alone inside a residence for more than an hour. The children met officers at the door and told them their mother, Arroyo, had gone to the store to buy milk. There was no phone for children to call someone on if they needed help and conditions inside the residence were "deplorable and had food items everywhere." Arroyo could not be reached by phone and the children did not have her number. Lorain County Children Services was called and a neighbor was able to get Arroyo on the phone. When she arrived home at 12:20 a.m. Jan. 28, Arroyo said she had only been gone for "minutes" but officers had already spent more than an hour at her home. Arroyo was issued a summons and ordered to appear in Elyria Municipal Court on Feb. 3. Thursday, Jan. 28 8:01 p.m. — 11th Street, burglary. Briana Patrick, 21, of 11th Street, was arrested on felony aggravated burglary and misdemeanor assault charges. Patrick's neighbor, 39-year-old Misty Brock, said Patrick broke into her residence, yelled at her to turn down the thermostat, then pushed her into the couch and onto the floor, damaging some home furnishings, before punching her in the face multiple times. Patrick's boyfriend separated the two and Patrick drove away. Brock suffered swelling, bruising and cuts to her face and signed charges. When Patrick returned home, she refused to open her door for police but they forced it open and she was taken to Lorain County Jail. 5:05 p.m. — School Street, disorderly conduct. Timothy Goodson, 35, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct by intoxication. Officers searching the 100 block of School Street for a suspicious white male in a gray hoodie and gray sweatpants who was reportedly trying to break into cars on the street found Goodson matching that description in front of a house in the 100 block of Garvin Avenue. Goodson was visibly intoxicated, admitted to using heroin and was taken to Lorain County Jail.
