David C. Walters

David C. Walters, 91, of Bay Village, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 31, 2021. He was born January 13, 1930 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to the Cleveland area in 1964. He was the beloved son of the late Clifford and Leah and devoted husband of the late Sara 'Sally' (nee Fee, deceased 2002). He is survived by their four children, Wendy Getz (Tom), Beth Glenn (Chuck, deceased), David 'Van' (fiancée, Maria) and Meg Parks (Tom, deceased) and grandchildren, Tara Leslie (Cary), Megyn Rice (Jim), Sam Getz (Stefanie), Ray Glenn (Brittany), Katie Reed (Brent), Jason Glenn, Brenna Walters (Dylan Wallace), Joe Parks, Tyler Parks and 18 great-grandchildren and his beloved sister, Nancy Cobetto (Jack, deceased). He cherished his in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. He treasured his family and friendships, was an all around athlete and sports enthusiast, an avid golfer and a member of Oberlin Golf Club and a dedicated member of Alcoholics Anonymous, enjoying 59 years of sobriety. The family would like to thank the staff of the Hospice of the Western Reserve for their wonderful support through his illness, especially Kim, who cared for him so lovingly. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
