Michael Phillip Weimer

Michael Phillip Weimer, 58, of Elyria, passed away peacefully at Ames Western Reserve Hospice Center in Westlake on January 14, 2021 due to complications from a stroke. He was a 1980 graduate of Westlake High School. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Wayne. He leaves behind his mother, Mary Helen (Merkle) of Fort Mill, South Carolina; sisters, Diane McKay (Tim, deceased) of Westlake, Nancy Shaver (Steve) of Grafton, Jennifer Wiseman (Scott) of Waxhaw, North Carolina; brothers, Mark of Bay Village and Phillip (Ellen) Weimer of Waxhaw, North Carolina; 13 nieces and nephews; two great-nieces and a great-nephew; aunt, Marjorie Benick (Merkle) of Independence and uncles, Pete Weimer of Florida and Jerry Weimer of Georgia. Michael enjoyed working on his many vehicles, watching Cleveland sports, NASCAR and spending time with family. Burial service will be private and officiated by The Reverend John Seabold of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, Grafton. Arrangements are being handled by the Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton.
