Dorothy L. Branch-Leber

Dorothy L. Branch-Leber (nee Martin), 95, of Elyria, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center after a sudden illness, her son and daughter were by her side. Dorothy was the 9th of 11 children born on April 21, 1925 to John and Maggie Martin in Maple Meadow, West Virginia. Dorothy married Cecil Branch on February 14, 1942. They were married 29 years and raised five children. After Cecil's death in 1971, Dorothy married Jack Leber on September 9, 1977, they were married 32 years and made their home in Milton, Florida. After Jack's death, Dorothy returned to Elyria. Dorothy was employed by Worthington Golf Ball Factory in Elyria before moving to Florida. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Milton, Florida, where she sang and toured with the Golden Voices. Dorothy loved to serve others and was a Sunshine volunteer for West Florida Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, baking, decorating cakes, crafts, making beautiful ceramic figures which she shared with her children and grandchildren. Dorothy was a loving mother and mamaw and demonstrated how to love unconditionally. Dorothy loved spending time with her family. Just the mention of a child's name brought a beautiful smile to her face. She was preceded in death by her parents; 10 siblings; son, James E. Branch; daughter, Linda C. (nee Branch) Spieth and stepson, Jack Leber, Jr. Survivors include her sons, John D. Branch and Jerry L. Branch; daughter, Irma J. De Armon (Gary), all of Elyria; daughter-in-law, Diane Branch of Milton, Florida; stepsons, Ed (Becky) Leber and David (Rocky) Leber; stepdaughter, Janice (Mike) Phillips, all of Milton, Florida; step-daughter-in-law, Bertha and many nieces and nephews. Mamaw's tender loving heart will be greatly missed by her 27 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
