He does well with children but isn't so sure about cats. He's also afraid of dogs. He is super sweet and friendly. Dexter would do best in a home where he doesn't have to share the spotlight. Dexter will be an awesome addition for a family. Can you give him a happy home? Dexter is at Friendship APL in Elyria. She is a mild-mannered southern belle. She may be large in size, but she walks respectively on a leash and she seems to be housebroken. Geraldine is not bothered by the other dogs she see at the shelter but definitely prefers the more calm, quiet ones. Even better, this girl has such a playful goofy side to her once you really get to crack her code! If you're looking for an overly affectionate derpy lady, she's the girl for you! She is sweet, petite and the perfect balance of calm and social. Amelia loves attention and soaks up every drop of love given to her! She looks at you with those big puppy eyes and will steal your heart! Amelia walks great on a leash, appears to be housebroken and doesn't seem to mind other calm, submissive dogs! Amelia can be vocal at times but only cause she wants your attention! Amelia would make a great addition to most homes, you don't want to miss your chance to meet her! Three-year-old Gotti is the physical embodiment of a cartoon bulldog; he's all beefy muscles, a waddling walk and a giant head. Like a cartoon, Gotti has an inherent goofiness. He's just SO happy to hang out with people. Despite his bulk and initial excitement, Gotti calms down to be excellent on the leash. He's a great co-pilot in the car and is the type of dog you can take onto patios. Though Gotti would do best as the only animal in the home, he doesn't mind other animals outdoors. (We suspect he might even want to play with some of them!) Gotti would be a great fit for anyone looking for a dog they can take anywhere. Website: www.MBROhio.com. Miles Sadly Miles lived the majority of his short life locked in a small crate with three or more other dogs. They were forced to potty in there too! He wasn't socialized and never learned to walk on a leash. Now that he is in our rescue and in a foster home, he is doing great with crate training and really prefers to potty outside. We are starting to work with him on his leash reactivity. This means that he feels threatened or defensive when he sees other dogs. This is something that his new family will need to be committed to working on further. Ideally, Miles would do best in a terrier-savvy, specifically JRT-savvy home. Terriers are great little dogs but do take a strong personality to own them. They are clever and will test your patience! It's a work in progress in her foster home, but she is doing well with crate training, potty training, and walking properly on a leash. She gets along with her foster siblings: three older small dogs. We are not sure about cats, but she does have the typical JRT high energy and prey drive. She is submissive when coming up to a human, so her foster home is working with her on initiating contact with other people to build her confidence. BREED/DESCRIPTION: Jack Russell Terrier SEX: Female NEUTERED/SPAYED: Spayed SHOTS UP-TO-DATE: Yes AGE: 9 months SIZE/WEIGHT: Small ADOPTION FEE: $400 Lillie Miss Lillie needs a very patient, understanding and quiet home. She was absolutely abused and because of this, she is very scared and nervous. She ideally would do best with a very low-key guy in the house or all women. She is WONDERFUL with kids (NOT toddlers) and could really use a BFF. Ideally she will be in a home with another dog her size that will play with her. This seems to help her feel more confident around men and new people. Lillie is a high-energy dog needing lots of exercise on a daily basis and needs a fenced-in yard. She is learning how to walk nice on a leash. She is very good in her crate and keeps it clean. With some time and patience, she is going to be a great dog for the right home. He is living in a foster home and is used to other cats and dogs. He is kind of shy but loves to be held as you can see in the picture. He uses the litter box without issue. He will make a wonderful companion and lap cat. These young ones bring new life to a home. He is used to other cats and dogs. Jett uses the litter box without issue. He's a spunky little guy who will bring fun times to a household. Kittens are so fun to watch.
