James Louis Dongarra, Sr.

James Louis Dongarra, Sr., 67, of Bradenton, Florida, died Monday, September 7, 2020 at 6:38 p.m. at Blake Medical Center following a cardiovascular illness. Mr.Dongarra was born in Elyria Memorial Hospital on October 17, 1952 to Louis P. and Betty S. Dongarra.James Sr. owned and operated Common Wealth Food Equipment Service in Lorain before relocating to Florida in 2004. He was self employed and retired in 2015 in Bradenton, Florida.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Mae Stickel on December 26, 2015; father, Louis P. (deceased) of Ohio; mother, Betty S. (deceased) of Ohio and older sister, Katherine Null (deceased) of Florida;He is survived by two sons, James Dongarra, Jr. (47) of Elyria and Christopher Dongarra (43) of Lorain; two daughters, Stacey Dongarra (43) of Ohio and Kari Busicnki (29) of Kansas; two stepdaughters, Mary Blankenship (42) of Ohio and Nicole Buckley (39) of North Carolina, as well as 16 grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Yovan of Ohio, Sheila Amburn of Tennessee, Shannon Dongarra of Ohio; brother, Richard Dongarra of Florida; three nieces and six nephews.Family will hold a private graveside service in Ohio at a later date and suggest any memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
