Matthew A. Knipper

Matthew A. Knipper, 41, of Elyria, passed away of a sudden illness at UH Elyria Medical Center on Sunday, August 9, 2020. He was born April 4, 1979 in Elyria.Matthew received his Associate Degree from Ohio Business College in Computer Technology. He was previously employed at Mike Bass of Sheffield, Sliman Dodge in Amherst and was a dispatcher for Elyria Towing for the past year and a half. He loved building computers, gaming and car racing at the Lorain County Speedway and Sandusky Speedway.Matthew is survived by his parents, Edwin and Deborah Knipper of Elyria; sister, Stephanie Lane (Jason) of Elyria; nieces and nephews, Dyllan, Jenna, Logan and Kendall Lane; many aunts, uncles and cousins; paternal grandma, Yolanda Panter of Elyria; step-grandma, Carolyn Knipper of Elyria.He was preceded in death by his niece, Madelynn Lane; paternal grandfather, Edwin E. Knipper; great-grandma, Yolanda Fidel; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Anita Horvath.At the request of the family, all services will be private. A memorial will be held at a later date.
