Elyria police for June 18-19, 2020

Elyria police Thursday, June 18 4:14 p.m. — Conrad's Tire Express and Total Car Care, Broad Street, theft. An officer met with an employee of the store at 264 Broad St. who reported that sometime between 6 p.m. June 17 and 7 a.m. June 18, someone stole 10 to 15 tires from a fenced area behind the building. The thieves gained entry by tampering with a fence. The tires had been deemed inoperable and were to be sent for recycling under EPA regulations. 9:33 p.m. — Days Inn, Lorain Boulevard, warrant service. Iram Molina, 37, of Cleveland, was arrested on a warrant through the Ohio Adult Parole Authority. An officer on patrol followed a white Cadillac SUV after it took a "swift" left turn into the hotel parking lot at 1800 Lorain Blvd. and saw a man and woman get out acting suspicious and hurried while looking over their shoulders. A records check showed the car was registered to Molina and that he had a warrant through the state Adult Parole Authority. Molina said his name was "Joe," but officers recognized him and he confirmed his identity. He was taken to the Lorain County Jail. Friday, June 19 3:31 a.m. — Rally's, Cleveland Street, possession of drugs. Lindsey Boley, 40, and Kristofer Traxler, 43, both of Columbia Station, were arrested — Boley on felony charges of illegal conveyance of prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention facility and drug possession and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug abuse instruments, and Traxler on a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug abuse instruments. Officers were dispatched to Rally's at 711 Cleveland St. for a report of a man who had been on the ground in the parking lot for at least an hour. Traxler was under the rear of a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee, and told officers he had gotten tired and fallen asleep while on a trip to get Boley a smoothie. Boley was in the passenger seat of the Jeep, and said she thought Traxler still was inside the restaurant. Officers reportedly recovered four hypodermic needles, three LG cellphones, a power bank charger and a burnt spoon. During booking at the Lorain County Jail, corrections officers found 0.4 grams of suspected fentanyl in a small bag inside Boley's bra.
