Robert W. Christy, Jr.

Robert W. Christy, Jr., 75, of Elyria, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville. He was born May 16, 1943 in Lodi and was a 1961 graduate of Medina High School.Robert worked for General Motors as a tool and die maker at both the Elyria and Mansfield plants. He retired in 2006 after 42 years of service. He enjoyed watching old Westerns, NASCAR Racing and spending the winter months in Florida with his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.Robert Christy is survived by his wife, Janice (nee Aultz); his daughter, Dawn Murray (Bob) of Cape Coral, Florida; his grandchildren, Makayla and Pierson Murray; two sisters, Carole Lynne Dennison (George) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Elaine Longbrake of Elyria; one brother, Jon Christy (Sandy) of Galloway, Ohio and by many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Robert W. Christy, Sr.; mother, Carole Lacquement (nee Light); stepfather, Arthur Lacquement and by a niece, Jodi Vanfleet.The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 5 to 8 P.M. at The Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd.
